Do You Recognize This Man? Well, you might—if you’re into backgammon. The man pictured to the right is Lars Trabolt of Denmark. Lars is the 2008 World Backgammon Champion. He defeated Mario Sequeira of Portugal 25-12 in the 25-point final match played on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco. Congratulations, Lars!
HBC Boasts the Top Two Ranked Players in the USBL Shameless plug time! The top two ranked players in the U.S. Backgammon League are Hoosiers! Scott Johnston ranks #1 with an Elo rating of 1703. Sean Garber is tied for #2 at 1670. Scott, Sean, and Jim Curtis are separated by less than 1point in the 2008 HBC master points race for the USBL. Congratulations, gents. When are we driving out to Dayton?
