ANNOUCEMENT: 2008 HBC Fall Trophy Event!!! The first ever HBC Fall Trophy Event is OPEN TO EVERYONE, so come enjoy a great day of backgammon with us. This tournament will take place on Sunday, December 14, 2008. TIME: 2:00 PM (registration to begin at 1:30 PM) LOCATION: McAlister’s Deli (click for directions) ENTRY FEE*: $20 + $10 optional side pool (other side pools may be started if there is sufficient interest) RETURN: 90% on entry fee, 95% on first $10 side pool, 100% on any additional side pools FORMAT: single elimination with progressive consolation 9 point matches in the main bracket 7 point matches in the consolation bracket * - Because we are only having a single division, the “HBC 50% Rule” will be in effect. If a player has a documented winning percentage of less than 37.5% in an established club with at least 15 matches played for the year, we will offer 50% off of the entry fee.
